Wow, what took them so long?

Parents Television Council lodges complaint against The Inside

And is it just me, but they warn you that it is graphic? And in their defense, they don't depict the deviant behaviors as normal or acceptable.

Just an FYI, a tribute album to a band should actually be a reinterpretation of that band. Not just a no-named artist doing faithful covers of the songs. Case in point: the Godsmack Tribute album I bought. The CD says (and I quote) "Here gathered are several veterans and newcommers of the modern metal scene who have dedicated themselves to reconstructing some of Godsmack's best songs with a whole new level of freshness and ferocity."

Time Bomb and Awake sound EXACTLY the same as on the original album except the acoustics of the sound stage were obviously poor and the lead singer's voice is a little less throaty. NOT DIFFERENT. Definitely not better. Freshness and ferocity are not terms I'd use to describe it. In fact, if Godsmack is aware of this album, they should sue the Pagan Rock Allstars for falseness of advertising. Seriously.

disgusted,
me.

I did get John Mellencamp's greatest hits though since I couldn't remember the name of the artist I really wanted. I'm still struck that the only music of his that I truly love is his Human Wheels album (which I couldn't find, pout). Three songs from that album made this one, but still. *pouts*

You all finally sucked me in. Succumbed and signed up for netflix. Which is almost necessary since there aren't any movie rental places within 5 blocks of me. :P:P

Entourage is on the list first because, dude, Jeremy Piven. I've been aching to see him in another TV series since Cupid man. Hell, the guy even convinced me to watch Ellen reruns...how sad is that?? Forget the exact order, but basically almost all the cable series that I've seen you all talk about forever -- The 4400, Nip/Tuck, etc. Didn't see Rescue me up or Battlestar Galactica the series (just the mini), so I'm guessing these aren't out on DVD yet?

*rubs hands together*
I also put down the first season of La Femme Nikita because anything that gets [livejournal.com profile] mona1347 to squee in remembrance must be pretty good;) LOL.

And, in reality, this is probably a good investment...much better than shelling out the money to buy all these series:P Plus, if I really get a hankering, I can slap DS9 on there and see how it holds up post-Firefly and Farscape.

*dances*

Okay, now I'm awake? What's up w/ that? And yeah, my notification that my cells were ready reached me when I got home. Dude, I know I didn't leave till 5:30 and I didn't have that email. So I don't know how gmail can say I had it at 5 pm. *shakes head* Oh well, have recieved assurance from brian that they should be fine o/n in the cold room. So there:P:P

Oh, yeah, now I remember why I'm awake. I had two chocolate truffles when I got home (TJ's finally got some more in!!). Those things contain enough sugar and caffeine to make me positively bounce!

Inside bumped back for a special "So you think you can dance"

I had a feeling this would happen after seeing it on this week. *shakes head* Look, I can understand American Idol, but I honestly don't think the majority of america is informed enough to appreciate dancing of any sort. AND I GORRAMIT, I DON'T WANT IT PREMPTING MY SHOWS.
