The Cutting Truth by analise

Definitely AU, but no real spoilers I don't think. *winks at [livejournal.com profile] mona1347 and [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster*

Like everything I've recced by analise so far, it is a beautiful play of words. Econimical while still being full of emotion in almost every sentence. Perfect.

Go, read, give her feedback.

Well, that was fun and utterly enjoyable to get out of the house apartment. Went out for the evening w/ brian for dinner and a movie -- saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Definitely the best movie I've seen all year. Better than batman even. On par with The Punisher I think as far as entertaining and intelligent action movies goes. Very very good. If you haven't seen it yet, go before it leaves the theaters.

Not even going to post a spoiler cut because if I start squeeing it'll take too long. Needless to say, I didn't mind Angelina Jolie at all (though seriously, a lip reduction wouldn't be remiss) and I continue to enjoy Brad Pitt. Eye candy that I also think acts incredibly well is always a good thing. Still, I'm of the opinion that directors totally need to do more movies that cast Val Kilmer and Brad Pitt together. Come on, how can that not be a good thing??

Also just happy in general that July looks to be a good movie month after the past long drought of sucktastic movies that I've refused to pay money to see (Batman Begins is not included in that list). Don't know what to expect from Fantastic Four, but it will probably be enjoyable just because I'll get to hear Julian McMahon's voice *melts*. The Charlie and the Chocolate Factor and Wedding Crashers. Vince Vaughn is soo good at acting adorable. Oh, and he was in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I should probably go in to work tomorrow. Not lots of work to do persay but things I can do. And I only have 2 weeks left. Siiigh. *pushes stress away*
