letting lj show you that you are apparently saner than 75% of the rest of the online community.

Joined a fandom meta community..well, watched it persay. And a) half of it wasn't interesting...and the other half, made me realize how un-neurotic I am. And thankful that I've erased off most of the vestiges of guilt and uber-organization that my parents' A type personalities almost instilled. Huh...guess thinking my headaches were due to tension was good for something.

Apparently, you all had been pointing me to the interesting meta conversations all along. Please keep doing that and I'll keep you updated on the state of the world politics (assuming that's why you tune in. If not..well, fic should come..and if that's not why, then I'm truly confused right now).

Feel free to comment how you like...feel free to friend me without any due notification. You won't get included into my real life filter until and unless I feel like we've made an online connection, but don't feel slighted. My real life really isn't all that interesting and the drama tends to be rather repetitive. Like watching the same neverending plot line on a soap.

Comments are welcome..no need to overthink. Unless you troll me, I won't ban you. Odds are, I'll friend back if I find you mildly entertaining....and if I don't, no hard feelings, k? I'll still browse your page when I'm bored *pokes flist*. Feedback to fic is welcome again, but not necessary. At this point, I doubt I'll stop writing...someday, the fanfic may dry up if I decide to try to focus my attentions on original ideas (ie, my own characters and world for the most part, but I'll never get uppity about it, thank you Ms Hobb). Feedback does tend to keep me focused and helps me to remind my muse that it does need to attend to the WIP if it wants me to feed any new bunnies.

As much as I love praise, I'll give virtual chocolate to all those who offer constructive criticism at my writing. I'm an amateur, I enjoy doing this, and I've been writing exclusively academic science for the past five years and very little creative before that. I'm out of practice and trying to learn. I love help!

I don't always reply to comments or feedback...again, nothing personal. If I can think of a witty comeback, you ask a question, or I'm just hyper, I'll reply. If not, it's just because I'm not the type of person to engage in smalltalk. It's a fact of life.

I don't tag --- despite having an S2 layout, my current one isn't cooperative with it. I'm also not that keen on it after finding out it only goes back 100. Plus I don't have the motivation to go back and retroactively tag. Memories are where they always were.

That said, I'll join in on the meme I've seen make the rounds during the time I've been on lj. Ask me a question, any question, be it about my fics, myself, or my position on things philosophical, scientific, or metaphysical. I'll do my best to answer.

Hell, I'll even be nice, you can ask more than one (just in case you've been too shy to pester me before now. But I don't think I really have many shy fangirls (or guys) on my flist ;)

*hugs flist*

AMERICAblog:

ABC's Terry Moran just reported that the only time Bush got applause was in the middle of his speech when a White House advance team member started clapping all on their own in order to cajole the soldiers into clapping, which they dutifully did.

So even the applause was fake...

Apparently, Fox reported the 'fake applause' bit as well. Double ouch.

Or perhaps all those special forces members had read this report:
With Tuesday's attacks, Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian militant with ties to al-Qaida, is now blamed for more than 700 terrorist killings in Iraq.

But NBC News has learned that long before the war the Bush administration had several chances to wipe out his terrorist operation and perhaps kill Zarqawi himself -- but never pulled the trigger. [...]

Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi's operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.

Haven't seen The Inside yet? Tonite would be an excellent time to do so - Jane Espenson wrote tonight's episode.

Okay...I'm really really tired of the week of constantly changing fronts, neverending humidity when temps are barely in the 80s, and pain in every single injured joint. Knock it off please.

And if we're humid, please get the heat to the 90s so the heat kills the itching the humidity causes.

no love right now thanks to a very very sore wrist,
me

Story was much better, and rebecca locke was a little less annoying with her whole, "this is how it was" stuff. Be nice if they could figure out a way to have her work her magic w/out it appearing that she's just pulling it out of thin air. And oh, we got to see team snark!! And danny (adam baldwin) do more than point a pretend gun at a kid.

spoilers for the inside )

Excellent show...now go forth and spread the word, next week we get TWO new episodes of the Inside starting at 8/7 (EST/CST) on fox! WATCH IT. FORCE YOUR FRIENDS W/ NIELSEN BOXES TO DO THE SAME.

Really, it's competing against crap, but fox doesn't do it any favors w/ the lead in of That 70s Show and Stacked. Seriously, the OC would be a better lead in line up. Ideally, we'd put house and the inside on back to back, but sadly, I think Fox would be scared of having that much quality TV on one night.

well...I posted this yesterday, but I think it got buried in my diatribe;) well, not diatribe, but i can't think of the word i'm looking for, monologue would be better.

That or, i'm just an open book.
