there's nothing like...
Jun. 29th, 2005 12:13 amletting lj show you that you are apparently saner than 75% of the rest of the online community.
Joined a fandom meta community..well, watched it persay. And a) half of it wasn't interesting...and the other half, made me realize how un-neurotic I am. And thankful that I've erased off most of the vestiges of guilt and uber-organization that my parents' A type personalities almost instilled. Huh...guess thinking my headaches were due to tension was good for something.
Apparently, you all had been pointing me to the interesting meta conversations all along. Please keep doing that and I'll keep you updated on the state of the world politics (assuming that's why you tune in. If not..well, fic should come..and if that's not why, then I'm truly confused right now).
Feel free to comment how you like...feel free to friend me without any due notification. You won't get included into my real life filter until and unless I feel like we've made an online connection, but don't feel slighted. My real life really isn't all that interesting and the drama tends to be rather repetitive. Like watching the same neverending plot line on a soap.
Comments are welcome..no need to overthink. Unless you troll me, I won't ban you. Odds are, I'll friend back if I find you mildly entertaining....and if I don't, no hard feelings, k? I'll still browse your page when I'm bored *pokes flist*. Feedback to fic is welcome again, but not necessary. At this point, I doubt I'll stop writing...someday, the fanfic may dry up if I decide to try to focus my attentions on original ideas (ie, my own characters and world for the most part, but I'll never get uppity about it, thank you Ms Hobb). Feedback does tend to keep me focused and helps me to remind my muse that it does need to attend to the WIP if it wants me to feed any new bunnies.
As much as I love praise, I'll give virtual chocolate to all those who offer constructive criticism at my writing. I'm an amateur, I enjoy doing this, and I've been writing exclusively academic science for the past five years and very little creative before that. I'm out of practice and trying to learn. I love help!
I don't always reply to comments or feedback...again, nothing personal. If I can think of a witty comeback, you ask a question, or I'm just hyper, I'll reply. If not, it's just because I'm not the type of person to engage in smalltalk. It's a fact of life.
I don't tag --- despite having an S2 layout, my current one isn't cooperative with it. I'm also not that keen on it after finding out it only goes back 100. Plus I don't have the motivation to go back and retroactively tag. Memories are where they always were.
That said, I'll join in on the meme I've seen make the rounds during the time I've been on lj. Ask me a question, any question, be it about my fics, myself, or my position on things philosophical, scientific, or metaphysical. I'll do my best to answer.
Hell, I'll even be nice, you can ask more than one (just in case you've been too shy to pester me before now. But I don't think I really have many shy fangirls (or guys) on my flist ;)
*hugs flist*
