(no subject)

Well hopefully I got all the bad stuff out of the way last night. Finally did laundry around 11:30 pm only to discover after doing the was that only 2 of the 6 dryers in the basement were working (apparently there may have really been a reason the fire alarm went off at 2am on tuesday)....but of course, only after putting clothes in broken ones. So took one of the functional ones but was nice and didn't take second since the person's clothes weren't dry. Then got to go upstairs to the other laundry room to play dryer roullette. There there are about exactly 2 out of the8 dryers the ever really dry your clothes and they seem to change nearly every time. Sigh. Of course, chose the wrong two though one was my jeans so i just took em out damp. Sweather though required being moved to a functional dryer but some lazy ass had left their clothes in, oh , every dryer that I hadn't previously used. Worse, the one dryer that actually had dry clothes in it....they were polyester and smelled as if they really hadn't been washed :(:(:(

But finally that was done and I promptly went to bed. So now I still have humongous pile of clothes and packing to do. Sinus headache I knew would come from weather is still here though hopefully leaving soon. (hear me headache??). Course, considering I'm flying to Ok where the temp today is 27 (and it's currently 49 here), I expect it will be back:(

So yeah, this is probably my last post for a bit. I think I did finally decide that I will take my laptop home with me since my friends will still have to work when I go to Chicago. Maybe I'll get some work done...or at least some fanfic written.

So Merry Christmas in case anything happens to the internet in the boondocks. And hopefully OK will not get an ice storm while I'm there:)

Well, for what could have been a surprisingly shitty day, I'm amazingly not in a bad mood. Must mean I really am out of Philly.

so there was the laundry fiasco last nite. Then did my packing actually relatively fast and small (go me!) and got to the airport a bit over an hour ahead of time. And haaad NO problem checking luggage, and zipped through the security checkpoint. Shoulda known then stuff was going to go wrong!

Boarded plane on time....only to wait on tarmac for an hour as we first got held up for landing planes and then had to wait out three separate storm cells that were bringing with them incredible wind shear (as in Brian said it blew the sign off of the campus bookstore). Finally hit the air and have no delays getting to airport..

Except we land 10 minutes after my flight was supposed to have left! Fortunately they'd delayed the flight due to the sheer number of people that were stuck on delayed flights. So we ended up leaving again an hour after we were scheduled to, but only really 40 minutes after I'd gotten off my first plane.

So is anyone surprised to hear then that my luggage didn't make the plane switch with me? Fortunately, Delta is smarter than Northwest. Last time my luggage didn't make the plane with me it was because it got a fun trip to arizona instead! And the bonus of Delta paging me imediately to tell me instead of letting me stand around an hour and check every bag that came off the carousel. So tomorrow my dad gets to go get my luggage....wondering if he'll take me w/ him. And only reason that may be good thing is that one of my bags doesn't have an address tag on it! Doh. That bag just doesn't like labels okay. Since purchasing it, it has managed to lose 3 separate name tags.

But the bigger surprise of the day was that I was tolerant on the flight. First flight was fine, no annoyances. Second one, I had an asswipe idiot behind me that couldn't move without slamming my seat. And beside me I had 14 yr old clones of Paris and Hilton who couldn't keep their hands, hair or feet to themselves. God bless headphones.

So now am safely back in OK...at least till it starts to suck out my sanity. And yeah, I am getting the dell mp3 player for xmas. My mom told me this morning cause part of it (the outer protective case I think) won't arrive till late jan because of a backorder. But yeah!! I'll be able to exercise in my little gym in my apartment building without wanting to kill someone or driving my bloodpressure to insane levels out of annoyance:):) Yeah.
