Iphone update question

jebbypalSooo, I updated iphone last night. I should have waited, I know.
Now, it seems like it has downloaded my ENTIRE gmail inboxes on to the phone instead of only the first 50 items or so like normal. Which is annoying plus takes up tons of space.
Is it doing this to anyone else? Anyone figured out a way to fix?
