Well...running late for work which sucks since I am supposed to do injections for a post doc. Ahh well....his own damn fault.

Fortunately back pain is alll gone (as is the killer headache I had) and the pain in my arm went back to just the one muscle instead of the lines of radiating pain/numbness:) LOL. Yes, I'm a whimp when it comes to pain, no secret there.

Farscape ep1&2...Hmmm....I don't know quite what I was expecting but this wasn't entirely it. I dunno, [personal profile] fialka's vid was just so incredible that well...I dunno, maybe false expectations. Or maybe it's scenes were taken mostly from season 2. I mean, I don't hate the show, just not feeling an obsession just yet. It had some funny moments, but it's not firefly (which I know some of you warned me of). Ahh..well, hopefully it gets much better soon. I'm also realizing that Firefly could never have gone to the SciFi channel---I'm sorry, every time I see CGI or special effects on Farscape they all look so 1980s and cheesy. Some of them got better in episode 2, but episode 1 I was laughing at the beginning space fight sequence. And yes, now I fully realize what the whole 'sound in space' arguement was about. Sorry, don't clearly remember enough of the other space movies and such to compare to Firefly...but definitely agree much more w/ the absence of sound.

Oh well...It is still a nice distraction:)

If you don't like the show, that's fine, but I just have to say that most people don't get obsessed with it until around episode 16. The first half of the season is slow and they're still finding their feet. Firefly had one of the best first seasons ever; Farscape is more like a traditional show that starts out slow and then takes time to build its momentum. So if you can, try to hang on through Season 1 and see what you think. :)

Farscape starts to suck you right in about half way into season 1, give or take a few episodes - it's bordering on insidious that way ::grins:: There's a two parter - Nerve and The Hidden Memory at the end of the season that easily gives any eps in season 2 a run for their money ...

On a sort-of-related note - I really hope they keep the no sound in space rule for 'Serenity.' That's one of my favorite things about Firefly, and I'd be bummed if they decided to change it to make it more "movie-like." Blech.

I didn't fall for Farscape until episode 5 of season 2. That was the first time that it achieved Jossian levels of brilliance, character-wise. But I wouldn't expect it to ever have the Firefly wit.
