Because I need the distraction NOW.
If you weren't DOCTOR Jebbypal, what career do you think you'd have liked to pursue? Feel free to not be limited by banal convention - dimension-hopping astrophysicist and world renowned cheese maker is perfectly valid.
Hmmmm, well, I guess I have mad scientist already wrapped up, don't I?
True fact: as a little kid, I wanted to be a soldier. Mostly because I liked the sounds that were made by people marching in full gear on the TV show Platoon and I loved GI Joe, but you know... Of course, there was a short phase of idolizing Dolly Parton too.
Fun answer: Summer fling for John Crichton.
If I'd been smart and not risk-averse (and well, frankly thought it was halfway possible), I'd probably say TV writer. It would have been cool to just you know, live in fandom.
