So, I assume most of my SN flist has seen the goodness of this week's epi:):):) Ahh the angst. Since I suck at episode recaps (really, I suck with words generally unless I'm writing a paper or a story), how bout we just jump into the speculation?

1) So evil can hear over the phone? Or do they tune into Sammy's wavelength? Seriously, umm, Daddy has some bad paranoia issues here methinks.

2) Did evil know where both bro's were? Or is it only able to track Sammy? I go with the last choice there. Daddy can't risk having sam w/ him, but he wants him protected.

And dude, Sammy is soooo stupid!! First, leave bro AT NIGHT. Second, meet hot chick on side of road in dark and assume she's NORMAL!! Esepcially when you know there's something hinky in this area anyways.

3) Hot chick. Umm, I'm getting charmed-ish vibes. Please don't let this devolve into crappy storytelling like charmed. Though, there are more hot guys than in charmed so maybe there's hope. And "Father"? Does that eliminate her being a demon? So she's just some witchy human after all? Albeit, one who thinks very highly of herself - "I could have killed both of them" my ass.

4) Dean...tied up and helpless. OMG, I love these writers.

Yes, yes, he is. He may have the puppy-dog eyes that can con folks into believing him, but his instincts leave something to be desired. That's why he needs his older brother to take care of him.

And "Father"? Does that eliminate her being a demon?

Erm, actually, I thought that meant she was the daughter of a demon, or something like that. Because, dude, I've never called my daddy using a chalice of blood, as fun as that sounds. (Sometimes I use a Dixie cup of Kool-Aid, but never a chalice of blood.)

Incidentally, I'm thinking she was talking about Sam and John when she said "both of them." She was trying awfully hard to get Sam to California.

4) Dean...tied up and helpless.

Nnnngggghhh.

But, just to be nitpicky, we've seen Dean break out of handcuffs (pilot) and ropes (Skin) before, so why did his Houdini skills disappear this time? Maybe those good ol' boys really know how to tie a knot. Or maybe he was so heart-broken at being abandoned by everybody he wasn't thinking clearly. Or maybe this is Supernatural, a show that is exempt from the rigid confines of logic and continuity.

I was assuming it had to do with the position of his hands as well as fact he was handcuffed.

They were over his head and no real way to get leverage while before they were in front of him (and didn't sammy let him out then?)

But yes, we are supposed to watch and not question why macgyver doesn't get out of every tight spot.;) Especially when it gives us woobiness.
