cassiee has been badgering me to write or it might now. Anyways, here it is.
Mal couldn't believe it. His luck surely couldn't be bad enough to run into that harlot three times in his life. He slapped himself to check – yep, this wasn't a nightmare. "So, what's the name this time, Yosaffbridge?"
The red head just glared at him from her position on the floor. "Sally."
Huh, seems like the universe did have surprises. "That's a little plain. Already getting too old to think up good ones?"
"You'll still die before I do."
The gun in his back prodded him forward another few feet before the owner knocked him down and shut the door. He rubbed his shoulder where the rifle butt had hit him. "Could be that you're right about that. Then again, if it happens in the near future, might be that you'll be joining me."
Sally – that name just did not mesh with the devil woman in front of him – sniffed. "As if. This misunderstanding will be cleared up shortly."
"I dunno, might be hard to get naked and articulate with your hands tied."
"You could fix that, dearest," she replied with her patented eyelash flutter.
"Uh uh, I ain't touching you with a ten-foot poll. My luck, you killed someone important on this moon or worse, you married 'im. I'll just take my chances with sitting quietly over here till my own misunderstanding is worked out."
He barely heard her curse as he got comfortable on one of the crates in the corner. "Men!"
