I hadn't even seen the entire series yet when I started writing fanfic. In some circles that's a big no-no, but I didn't understand this at that point. What I didn't know canon-wise, I looked up on websites and asked questions about on the Sci-fi Bboard or Kansas. Yes, my first story paid dearly for this cause it bites monkey butt when I dare to even look in it's direction. But I had fun writing it at the time.

In fact, I had only discovered... Actually, I should say I had finally decided to check out a story to see what fanfic really was. Which just happened to be One Eye's URPK. After that I was looking for anything I could find to read.

So it shouldn't matter that you've only seen the complete series once. If you have a good idea, write it! If you don't have a beta that is familiar with Farscape, there are plenty here on LJ that would be glad to help you out. Me included. Although I'm not going to lie about it I'm only good on continuity, grammar I seriously suck at. So god bless betas. *giggle*
