So yes, promos were hokey, but the actual show rocked, IMO.

I dunno, part of it might be the truck. My dad's owned a version of that truck. Actually, we had a lot of trucks growing up. One red one that was pretty plain other than being a ford. Then two others that were anything but - a very distinctive orange one circa 1970 that my dad loved (and my brother subsequently wrecked). And then a green one that I think was even pre-70. My dad was just always upset that he could never buy a yellow one. Yes, he's odd.

Anyways, Drive.

Nathan beating people up? And torturing. :):):) Tim, this is why I like you. You never hesitate to take people to that dark place as fast as possible. Also, the visions of his wife -- so great. I loved seeing Amy Acker play a normal character, and WOW, she's only gotten more gorgeous since Angel. I'm still upset at the Unit for dropping her, but oh well, we can't have everything and god knows that show has enough male eye candy for me that I can forgive it the lack of female eye candy.

Other than Alex and Salazar, I could really care less so far about most of the other characters. But yeah, overall loved it. Very cliched in places and such, but I don't care. Kinda brings back that warm fuzzy feeling of watching old Dukes of Hazard. :)
