A little delayed, but my more extended discussion as planned.

W/ this vid, Kaz got me addicted to 10 Years. She also added to my soundtrack of music that I use to write Twin Regrets.
Okay, Einstein, alien!Daddy, wormholes, and John -- tormented John at that. Is there a way this could go wrong? :) Actually, it probably could, but Kaz keeps that from happening. Lyrically, the clips sync up perfectly to the song.
We open with all the times that John almost got to go home -- from wormhole alien introduction to scarran mind frell (Browder does look good when he's sweaty in a wife beater btw. *cough, sorry, distracted there*)
Seriously, I'm just a little sad that Kaz didn't submit this for review (though I am excited about the one you did submit -- so don't worry). So I'm going to do the extended analysis here of specific moments and what I think/felt, whatever. I'm going to try to be coherent, I swear.
0:30 -- Scorpy, woops, actually Harvey.
0:32 -- "Living in Fear" paired with John firing his pulse pistol.
0:42 -- "Please" cut exactly to Einstein reaching out. Powerful
0:48 -- "Die" to Talyn John's death
0:50 -- "Withdraw" - to John falling out of the machine in PK Wars, devastated by what he's wrought. He knew using wormholes would be bad, but once again, his intentions royally go wrong beyond imagining.
0:53 -- "Quivering mess" to I think Scarran mind frell with John completely losing it. Damn, a man with that snotty of a face should nto still look good.
0:58 -- It's really hard to understand this lyric in the song (seriously, for a long time I thought it was "living naked"). Actually, "naming a kid" paired with lil' D'argo's birth. While, technically, not his naming, I think this shot is much more powerful than the end of PK Wars. Seriously, end of PK Wars just hits a little too sappy of a note.
1:03 -- "Try" -- TJ attempting to stop the wormhole weapon and ultimately killing himself.
1:14 -- "Change my attempt" paired with Einstein rising up to meet John on his rapidly shrinking "glacier". Knowing what the episode entails and how it plays out in the end of season 4, really makes this clip hit home.
1:32 -- "Here we are with your obsession" showing John looking up at a wormhole.
1:44 -- "The article said Living Wasteland" -- Okay, seriously, I always mean to look at the episode after terra firma to determine if Kaxz took it from the clip show or not, or if she made this. Either way, genius. But kudos if it's her photoshop work.
2:08 -- "Change my attempt" this time paired with wormhole ailien morphing from daddy into real form (sorry, I'm completely blanking on daddy's name)
2:15 -- "Should I" with daddy!alien unlocking TJ's wormhole knowledge.
2:23 -- "your obsession" with John writing wormhole equations on his arm
2:31 sequence -- one of the few clip sequences that the transistions seem actually timed to the drum beat -- but again, you've seen me distracted by the pretty, so I could have been missing ealier linkages. Also super fast cuts -- normally, this would bother me, but due to the length of the vid and it's pacing, it actually works really well for me in this drum solo section and is one of my favorite parts. Yes, I'm capricious that way.
2:43 -- "another victim" with Zhaan's death.
2:50 -- "ignorant to all the symbols" with John just starting to unlock the wormhole knowledge and writing on his hand.
2:54 -- "beauty paste" -- Okay, this is the one clip choice that I HATE in this vid. Seriously. I mean, it totally works and I get it with scorpy being all white and stuff, but yeeesh. I woulda preferred to see chiani and noranti or something (though appropriately, they don't fit in the vid so this is why kaz is the vidder and I'm not.) Still, these are my responses, so sue me.
3:00 -- back to the chorus again, and this is actually my favorite sequence of chorus clips. Limbs tied, skin tight, just works so well here.
3:13 -- "self inflicted" -- this is actually one of the more noticeable color changes that Kaz did with John slowly going gray as we see him in PK garb.
3:32 -- again, one of the more noticeable effects (unless I'm completely blanking on the scene in my mind) with John's face overlaid with him and the wormhole alien visible through him. Gaah, it's so hard for me to remember what's source and what's Kaz because that's exactly how many times I've watched this vid!
End - title screen --> about the only flaw here is the title screen doesn't linger long enough though I realize that Kaz timed it with the drum ending.
Umm, yes, I think I get a little worse at reviewing vids every time I do one. Sigh.
Anyway, to summarize, this vid perfectly encapsulates John and every thing about wormholes and the Uncharted Territories that haunts him.
