I know -- every time it was someone w/ an anonymous account directing me to some clark website (i honestly didn't click on it to see if it was pro or anti since the person only left the link w/ no explanation. I'm a tad overprotective of my harddrive after last spring's computer debacles).

Do you have robots/spiders/indexing turned off? That might solve your problem. (Although, obviously, the no commenting thing does, too.) I've read a lot lately about certain political factions setting up bots to leave comments on every blog they can find that mentions certain topics.
