Hey, that's pretty cool! It's so neat to think about the sort of things that whales must have to communicate, living in such a completely different world. Even things like basic directions have to be three-dimensional. I don't really understand how they can quantify the amount of information in each song if they don't know what information there is. I mean, just using this guy's numbers, what if one bit of communication, to a whale, contains more information than it does for a human?
