Simon. Ugggh, prep to the nth degree. Also, untrustworthy eyebrows. But after being forced to write him, like a lot, I’ve come up with a fanon version I can tolerate.

Umm, probably Zoe because I really don’t have the patience to hide how I feel about other people. And I frequently call people out on their bad ideas before reconsidering my words.

River can kick ass even when batshit crazy, and Simon can be very threatening when he wants to be.
09. The lamest thing about the canon:
Kaylee. Seriously. She slowly earns a spot of tolerance, but I never felt as much kinship as I did when they suggested throwing her in a hole because she smiled too damn much.

Hmmm, I have so many. Probably Jayne/Inara.

Character vids by a certain someone. Especially to say an appropriate song from Firewater.

Mike Weston. We’ve discussed the angst and pretty issues above, no? Well, substract suspenders (at least so far) and add in snarky voiceovers.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Frank Weston. Really thought this would be a throw away, but the more the show goes on, the more I want to know about the man even as we all continue to hate the bastard.

Mike Weston. See number 1. But only if Fiona was in another hemisphere and I was sure Maddy would never know so she’d never find out.

Fi. I spend so much time wishing she’d just get over Mike and get on with her life in a way that makes her happy. And not because of #3.

Mike, Maddy, Victor. Yes, I have a problem with the angst and the pretty and leave me alone. That psychopath is at least morally opposed to just randomly blowing undeserving people up.

Errrrmmmm, Actually, probably not very many people. I’d say Mike if he were more willing to cut people out of his life, but he’s not quite there. So I guess it would be Sam minus the horndogging and the alcohol.

01. The first character I fell in love with:
This is hard, because the love is so centered around so many characters. I guess I actually have to say Peter. Especially in the pilot, there was just something so great about his snarkiness and everything.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Elizabeth. A) I never knew the actress would blow me away and make me forget watching her on Saved by the Bell. B) Yay for having screen presence even with those other two guys, and C) because of her, I have my first personal fanon threesome.
03. The character I would shag anytime:
Neal. See above.
04. The character I'd slap:
Umm….really? Okay, forgetting Kate, since EVERYONE would slap Kate (including Neal on occasion), Cruz. She’s just never matured into a full character – not sure if that’s more the actress or the writers (given the unevenness of the season, we’ll go with blaming the writers).

So many things. It’s a tie between how good of a character Kate could have been if the writers had done a better job, and the loss of Diana for an entire fracking season!!

A fix to the whole Kate is a twat storyline. Seriously. It just made every character look bad and made a good many fanfic writers look better than the writer room for the show. (I know, I know, I love the show, but I know that it could have been soooo much better the first season. I know, I should just be glad our writers were better than those on Spartacus…and I am!).
