TIMESUCK

So, I got SW:TOR by preorder, but life worked out such that I never got to play during beta testing or early launch. And then the first time I did play, my connection kept booting me every 5 minutes regardless of server.

Finally figured out that I needed to reset my wireless router and that fixed things...for better or worse. BEcause it's definitely the most addictive game I've played in a long while (and no, I'm not doing the actual mmo portion and mostly doing it as a single player). Pretty much > 24 hours of playing as smuggler and I still haven't managed to even complete part 1 or recover my ship yet (or clean my apartment in RL).

It's a little buggy with my biggest gripe being when you are in safe areas, the entire thing seems to slow down horribly when actually in area trying to find trainers etc (especially once you get on to ships). Of course, leveling up is something I've always had the least patience with any game too.

Okay, now, I have to go to bed at a somewhat decent hour since I have to get up and go back to work tomorrow.

ION, between migraine on friday to the point that I had twitchy muscles on my head the next day (and left over headache), finally decided that yes, this low level ear infection is screwing with my head more than I thought. So started taking my antiobiotics of gold (aka 130 bucks for a corn free compound), and after 2 doses, felt a ton better even though I reduced the claritin D at the same time (and haven't cleaned). Beginning to think that between house, a few things in my diet, and then not having gotten rid of the entire infection on the first round, my body just wasn't happy the last few months.

Okay, bed time. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend.

Note to self:

When refilling the gluten free savonierre foaming soap dispensers, must use purified water if one wishes to avoid grody looking particulate formation

Also, wow does life feel different when the antibiotic one takes is compounded corn free. 2 days and no weird feeling side effects (other than slightly unhappy tummy when I took it on empty stomach courtesy of screwed day/night cycle thanks to gaming).

Over all, worth the 130 dollars (at least in absence of any other financial constraints)
