(no subject)

well, no one remarked on how early I was at work today compared to normal.

However my drive and energy are being totally sapped by the crappy weather and the prospect of sun tomorrow. I do still have much work to do, but I think I've pretty firmly decided to not go to work tomorrow (other than coming in to pull some samples out and put into freezer). I will come in on sunday instead. Still, that leaves work to do today. And calling to make at least me an all important hair cut appointment. Of course, I don't know what I want -- I'll probably go with just trying to get it all the same length even though I have huge desire to not have the standard page boy haircut for very long. Waaay too many people do that. I am getting slightly excited at prospect of hair getting long enough to put up in a pony tail though -- I'd forgotten how good it feels to have off of my neck. Which probably means I should just say to heck with it and go short again, but I don't know if I can tolerate that while needing to wear headgear to get through winter or not. Probably not.

Decisions decisions.

I'd also like the lab notebook fairies to come clean up my desk. Anyone seen any?

for the record, I'm really tired of sonication. I don't hate it as much as actually filling in the taqman plate *omg the pain*, but still. Boooring and I have to count mentally so I can't even you know, daydream, or anything.

Which wanting to daydream at work during boring stuff is probably not a sign of maturity. Still.

Back to the grindstone.
