Yay for 70....

Well, the northeast weather is pretty hellbent on imitating the south what with this wonderful February break of a 70 degree day. I'll refrain from bitterly observing it could be *cough80* :) Between that and the oh so wonderful pms I could feel starting yesterday, I elected to work from home today. The better to be able to open some windows and air the place out a little.

Nothing on tap planned for this weekend other than a light cleaning of all the things before it becomes a massive undertaking again. *fingers crossed* Also would like to finally organize the piles in the office so I can shred bills/credit card offers and start to contemplate doing taxes.

Other than that I need to scope out hotels for first or second week of march in dc area so I can go and visit my "nephew" finally :) Will also likely be meeting W, the eharmony guy from down there too. Should be fun, but want to see if I can minimize the amount of crunch to my savings given the spike in food/gas costs that seem to be occurring for the next few months. Why hello inflation, haven't seen you around these parts for a while. Nice for you to come AFTER our London overlords decided not to give us raises this year. :P

But regardless, I want to try to do some writing on something this weekend. I miss the frog.

Finally had the convo with R that I just wasn't feeling the chemistry last night on the phone. All week I kept going around about whether I should give him one more chance and have the convo in person, but given the amount that I kept putting off/not wanting to call for a chat or anything all last week, I decided probably better to just bite the bullet. He was pretty good about it - even claimed to be having same thoughts, but then hung up in such a quick fashion afterward that I have some doubts on that front. Given that, I'm doubtful that the "friends" thing will work. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise me and will give me a call again. I predict I'll be deleting the number in 3 months though.

Soo, anyone else catch the Chicago Code yet???? This week wasn't quite as strong as the pilot, but it's still a refreshing take somewhat on the procedural.
