Walking dead....

Overall I liked it. However, it may be from my zombie-apocolypse obsessed friends, but there were some things that really really should have been avoidable

1) Zombies come to the sound of gunshots. Hmm...there's this thing called silencers. As an officer of the law, surely you've read of how those can be made home-made. Might be useful, no?

2) You want to put your dead wife down. I understand wanting to do it yourself. But maybe you ask the nice man whose life you saved to stick around, just in case you can't? Hmm?

3) Seriously....does no one who writes on this show know how to siphon gas? I mean, I get it, we needed to get the horse to the city, but seriously? It's not that difficult. Not that I've done it, but having had the process described to me, I'm fairly certain I could accomplish it. I'm sure the precint garage would have had tubing for you.

4) Zombies come to sound. So you thought it would be smart to take a shod-horse into town on asphalt? Seriously? I know I know, the comic probably wrote it that way. Still. The stupidity burns.

5) So far, not loving the portrayal of women either. Also, no girl children except the zombie-girl? I know I know - now I'm nitpicking.

6) And even I admitted that we had to wave the whole "how atrophied his muscles would be after x months in bed in a coma". Granted, adrenaline helped a lot, and they did portray the stiffness etc. STill, I hardly think that the very next day he'd be up for going out on a scavenging hunt.

7) Again, guns drawn zombies. So maybe now would be a good time to take your night stick with you. Or learn how to shoot a bow and arrow accurately. I'm sure the south has some sporting good stores with a lot of GREAT compound bows.

I know, I'm overthinking this. I'm hoping the season takes off (and it stops reminding me too much of Survivors)
