I'm pretty similar in terms of lacking in bridal or child-having fantasies. If I'd been willing to waft along, though, I suspect I could have been married right out of high school, because I dated an older guy for a while who was Ready. I totally knew I didn't want that, or him, and Missed My Big Chance! (And ended up living in NYC for 20 years, so go me.)

And still, I work with someone who just got engaged, and she's always over in our cube farm talking about her dress and the bridesmaids' dresses and etc etc etc, and I keep thinking Oh lord, do I have a YEAR AND A HALF OF THIS?

Obviously I was not programmed correctly in the factory.
